Walking groups
In Four Ways Travel, we have years of experience in designing the best treks. The dramatic landscape of Pelion provides some wonderful treks across mountain tops with sea views and through canyons.
We design each group with the aim of making it an enjoyable experience for everyone in the group, with the correct balance between the exploration and relaxation. On walking dates transfers are provided to and from the start and finishing points of each trek. Ordinarily, walks will begin early in the morning and finish mid – afternoon, allowing the guests plenty of time to unwind.
Generally, our walking holidays are suitable for most walking abilities. However, a number of walks are a bit more demanding and best suited to keen walkers.
These holidays are available on the specific dates (please see below) and numbers are limited in order to make them as personal, relaxed and enjoyable as possible.

1st day |
ANO LEHONIA - KALA NERA

The route starts from the train station of Ano Lehonia. This is the starting point where the old steam train starts its trip to Milies. This little train is very famous in Greece not only through its trips but also from the paintings of Giorgio De Kiriko. Following the train route the traveller will arrive in the village of Gatzea was there will be a stop to enjoy the nature. On the way there will be the chance to admire some monuments from the previous century, like the bridge designed by Evaresto De Kiriko (father of the famous painter), built in 1903. After a short break we will follow the traditional path from Agia Triada to Kala Nera. On our route we will walk through the olive trees, and we will be surprised by the beautiful view in front of us from the sea and the Pagasitic Gulf. |

2nd day |
MILIES - XOURIXTI

This route is considered as one of the most beautiful in Pelion, while in the previous years it was the main road connecting Pelion. The route starts from the village of Milies were the traveler has the chance to visit the museum and the local library that has around 16.000 books, and the church of Agion Taxiarxon built in the 18th century. Even though Milies is considered as one of the biggest and most important villages of the area, it does not have any mansions as they were destroyed during the German occupation in 04/10/1943. This route is mainly through forest paths and in traditional trails, while a small part is found on the trails of the «old» road. Once we get to the east side of Pelion we will feel that the Aegean sea is practically in out feet. Our trip will stop in the village of Xourixti, after making a small stop in the church of Agios Dimitrios.
The bus will meet you and drive you to Tsagarada and Agia Paraskevi were you will continue on the famous trek of Tsagarada – Damouchari – the Mama Mia port (from the original Movie Mama Mia). |

3rd day |
KISSOS - SKI CENTRE

The beautiful village of Kissos will be the starting point of today’s adventure. The church of Agia Marina will be out first visit before taking the route to Hania. The trees around us are mainly tall chestnut trees and apple trees. As the route takes us uphill, the vegetation changes to tall beech trees which at some points make a natural shelter from the sun. The route changes from a traditional path to the side road, at some points (especially close to Hania ) to the main road. When we reach the first parking lot of the ski centre we will take the road used by the skiers to reach the ski slopes. From there we will end out route to the ski shelter build under the slope of Agriolefkes. |

AGIOS DIONISIOS - LITOHORO (OLYMPUS ROUTE)

This is a route, which takes place , in the mountain of the 12 Gods of the ancient Greeks. The monastery of Agios Dionissios will be the starting point of the route. This monastery is operating for the past 500 years and it will travel us to the Greece of tradition. After a tour of the monastery we will start our trek in the beautiful path through the canyon of Enipeas. We will follow the canyon and after crossing the river we will arrive in the village of Litohoro were we will make a last stop before returning to the main road. The nature in this route is certainly rewarding, as we will have the chance to explore a Greece that will surprise every traveler. |
